Jean-Baptiste Reboul was born in 1862 in the pretty village of La Roquebrussanne, located inland 60 km from Marseille and 35 km from Toulon. He wrote a major recipe book called « La Cuisinière Provençale » (The Provençal Cook). Reboul was a close friend of Frédéric Mistral, famous poet and defender of the Provençal Culture.

Nowadays, an amazing workshop is taking place regularly at La Roquebrussanne. It is based on the principles and skills presented by this reference book of French Southern cuisine and conducted by local experienced cooks dedicated to passing on their knowledge to keep the tradition alive.

We invite you to participate in the three hour workshop, learn how to cook a traditional Provençal meal and listen to funny anecdotes and local expressions talked by the “Amis de la Cuisine Provençale”.
